Reimagining hotel spaces: Ydalir x MASE Pilot results
At MASE Home, we’re proud to share the results from our pilot project with Ydalir Hotel, where we tested the MASE Bed – our robotic, ceiling-lift bed that transforms a compact room into a multifunctional space.
Over four months, guests stayed in a 15m² room outfitted with the MASE Bed, turning it from a bedroom into an office or workout area in seconds. The team collected guest feedback through interview and online survey. The results speak for themselves.

Guests appreciated the extra space and the intuitive design that made it easy to switch between room modes. Several commented on how the flexibility enhanced their stay, whether they were traveling for business or leisure.
Summary of guest feedback.
For hotels, the benefits go beyond the guest experience. By enabling smaller, smarter rooms, the MASE Bed helps:
Reduce the building’s carbon footprint
Increase room density without sacrificing quality
Future-proof hotel design for changing guest needs
This pilot project demonstrates that space-saving design it’s a must-have for the future of urban hospitality.
We’re excited to continue developing the MASE Bed and partnering with forward-thinking hotels across Europe. Let’s build a future where less space means more possibilities.
We’re grateful to Ydalir Hotel for the opportunity to test and learn in a real-world environment, and for the valuable feedback from their guests. This pilot has given us important insights as we continue to refine our technology. Together, we’re reimagining what is possible in compact, sustainable spaces.
